Portuguese guitarist Tó Trips concluded a solo European tour in early March that passed through five cities in Central and Eastern Europe. Between February 28 and March 6, the musician presented his solo format in Budapest, Vienna, Zagreb, Prague and SofiaThe tour kicked off on February 28 at the House of Music Hungary in Budapest, in a concert shared with Terra Profunda. Performances followed on March 2 at Radio Café in Vienna, on March 4 at the Močvara club in Zagreb, on March 5 in Prague at Palác Akropolis, and on March 6 at Bar Singles in Sofia. In these concerts, Tó Trips presented a show centered on guitar, exploring sonic landscapes that bring together references from fado, blues, westerns and imaginary film soundtracks—elements that have marked his artistic path over the past decades. The musician has been developing solo work that deepens the narrative and cinematic dimension of his approach to the guitar. The tour was part of a series of international performances that have taken the Portuguese musician to different European stages, reinforcing the circulation of his work outside Portugal. This tour was made possible with the support of the Instituto Camões and the collaboration of the Portuguese Embassies in the regions visited, whose contribution is essential for promoting Portuguese music beyond the country’s borders. |
