Pedro da Linha, an artist known for blending urban and electronic rhythms, returns with a new original EP, DICAS, released today under the Enchufada label.
DICAS includes four collaborative tracks that mix diverse influences and continents to create a common sonic space. Featured artists include Spain’s La Pili and Dianka, Brazil’s MU540, and longtime collaborator Branko, all contributing to this EP.
In Pedro da Linha’s words, “2024 has been a great year—I’m releasing music under my own name again while collaborating with artists who mean a lot to me. DICAS comes from this context; it’s an EP for the dance floor, and symbolically, I decided to build these songs in pairs, just like dancing. MU540, La Pili, Branko, and Dianka are producers I admire for the sensitivity they bring to their work. DICAS is for dancing as a duo.”
DICAS also marks a return to Enchufada, the leading label for national dance music, which is releasing this EP. It is now available on all digital platforms.
The first live performance of DICAS will be this Saturday, November 9, at Musicbox in Lisbon, at another Arrebita Party, where Pedro da Linha will play with Wost, a producer with whom he released a track in September (BADDDMANNN), which Mixmag magazine named one of the best club tracks of the year. Tickets available here.
This new EP caps off a year full of new original releases from Pedro da Linha, where he collaborated with artists like The Legendary Tigerman, Wost, Lucy Val, and Dino D’Santiago on tracks such as Oji é Oji, Aqui Se Faz, Aqui Se Paga, among others.
Also in 2024, Pedro da Linha, who has a broad background as a DJ, released an EP of remixes of songs previously released by artists like Arca, Ana Lua Caiano, and Judeline.
