Miss Universo has just released “Manifesto of the Modern Youth,” the debut album from the project of Afonso Branco and André Ivo, featuring previously presented tracks such as “Ser Português,” “Canção da Rua,” and “Estamos entregues aos bichos.”
Consisting of eight songs, “Manifesto of the Modern Youth” showcases the blend of tradition and avant-garde in all its splendor, merging old rhythms with new melodies. It is a sonic window open to revolutionary songcraft with the right touch of modernity. This first album is a four-handed, two-headed composition that expands throughout the songs, multiplying through additional instruments and new voices.
Miss Universo is set to present “Manifesto of the Modern Youth” live in two special concerts: in Lisbon on November 15 at Musicbox and in Porto on November 21 at Maus Hábitos.
