Tó Trips
As a musician, guitarist, and composer, Tó Trips has devoted himself to the guitar for nearly four decades, and gained international acclaim with the duo Dead Combo, formed alongside Pedro Gonçalves. In 2024, he begins a new chapter with Fake Latinos, a project shared with Alexandre Frazão (drums), António Quintino (double bass), and Helena Espvall (cello), culminating in the release of the album Dissidente in 2025 – standing as a rare example of creative perseverance and constant reinvention.
In his solo career, Tó Trips has produced a vast and award-winning body of work, frequently “rescued” by film and television to craft unimaginable soundscapes. His releases include Guitarra 66 (2009), Guitarra Makaka: Danças a um Deus Desconhecido (2015), and Popular Jaguar (2023). Across different stages and musical expressions, Tó Trips delivers a unique performance and expansive discography that reflect his many creative worlds.
Throughout February and March 2026, Tó Trips will tour across Europe, performing at key venues such as House of Music Hungary in Budapest, Radio Café in Vienna, Močvara in Zagreb, Palace Acropolis in Prague, and Bar Singles in Sofia.
