João Cabrita boasts over 30 years of career as a saxophonist, accompanying prominent figures in Portuguese music such as Sérgio Godinho, Dead Combo, The Legendary Tigerman, among many others. In 2020, he ventured into solo releases for the first time. In 2023, “Umbra” emerged, Cabrita’s second full-length album, presented as a more nostalgic and melancholic work, yet infused with a strong danceable energy. Cabrita introduced the new album in the country’s main clubs, continuing his tour to bring “Umbra” to national stages and signing new collaborations until the end of the year.
