João Cabrita has over 30 years of experience as a saxophonist, performing alongside major names in Portuguese music, such as Sérgio Godinho, Dead Combo, The Legendary Tigerman, among many others. In 2020, he ventured into solo releases for the first time. 2023 brought Umbra, Cabrita’s second full-length album, presented as a more nostalgic and melancholic work, yet infused with a strong danceable energy. Cabrita introduced the new album at the country’s main clubs and is now continuing his tour, bringing Umbra to stages across the nation and signing new collaborations in the coming months.
