Blaya
Blaya began working on her second album at the end of 2024, but it was during the quarantine that she gained a new creative vision. Her journey, however, goes way back: born in Fortaleza and raised in Alentejo, she grew up between freedom and dance performances, always carrying a notebook where she turned dreams into songs. It was dance that led her to join Buraka Som Sistema in 2008, and in 2013 she released a self-titled solo EP. The single ‘Faz Gostoso’ established her as an icon, reaching 15 million streams and over 42 million views.
A hurricane doesn’t know how to stop — and neither does Blaya. Several singles and EPs followed: everyone thought they knew Blaya, but few were prepared for the vulnerability that was still to be revealed. Her second album makes it clear, even in its title, that the artist is offering a genuine invitation — this is her new album Lado B (2025), a side that unveils the renewal of both her image and her musicality: here there is empowerment, but also alternative pop, authenticity, and soul.
In this new chapter, Blaya presents herself in two distinct formats. The first is intimate, deep and emotional, designed for auditoriums and small-scale festivals, where Lado B is revealed in a close, personal setting. The second is designed for open-air stages, the territory of the energetic and explosive Blaya, always ready to ignite audiences.
If before Blaya made everyone dance, now she’s going to make everyone reflect — with new rhythms, new sounds, and her ever-present charisma.
