Gilsons have joined Produtores Associados for the new season.
Formed in 2018, the Gilsons project brings together Francisco, João, and José Gil, who were born and raised in the world of music. The group incorporates influences from pop rock, samba, reggae, and Bahian rhythms, while also nodding to the classic Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) of their father and grandfather, Gilberto Gil. The band quickly gained recognition for their fresh and innovative style, which pays homage to Brazilian musical roots while exploring new sounds. After a few releases, including the hits “Várias Queixas” and “Devagarinho,” the band released their first album, “Pra Gente Acordar,” in 2022, which was nominated for a Latin Grammy in the category of “Best Contemporary Pop Album in Portuguese” in the same year. Since then, the trio has released several singles that have quickly amassed millions of streams and views worldwide.
In recent weeks, the band visited Portugal, drawing large crowds who sang along to their hits at the Vodafone Paredes de Coura and Sol da Caparica festivals. They are now preparing to return to our country next year.
