Ana Lua Caiano, a Portuguese singer-songwriter who released her first full-length album ‘Vou Ficar Neste Quadrado’ last March, continues to win over audiences both at home and abroad by appearing in music festival lineups and international charts.
‘Vou Ficar Neste Quadrado,’ released by the German label Glitterbeat, was first highlighted in the World Music Charts Europe (WMCE) since its release, debuting at the #1 position at the European level. According to experts, it is the current world music album in Europe.
The WMCE calculates the top world music releases in Europe once a month. This chart is created by radio experts from 24 European countries, who select their individual top 10 favorites from the current world music releases on their playlists.
Ana Lua Caiano has been increasingly drawing attention not only in Portugal but also internationally. At the beginning of July, she will perform at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark (one of the three largest pop music festivals in Europe, established in 1971). Before that, she will perform in France, in Marseille (at Les Suds, à Arles) and Corbeil-Essonnes (at Festival des Guinguettes du Monde). In July, she will appear at La Mar de Músicas in Spain (Cartagena), at Water and Sound in Germany (Augsburg), and in August in Switzerland (in Yverdon and at Les Garden Parties in Lausanne).
By the end of the year, the artist already has confirmed dates at festivals and concerts in Spain (SoNna, Caudal Fest, La Salvaje, and Sala Sabadaba) and Norway (Tromsø World Fest and Oslo World Fest). Other dates will be announced in the future for Portugal and the rest of the world.
However, amidst the international hustle, Ana Lua Caiano continues to present ‘Vou Ficar Neste Quadrado’ live at festivals in Portugal, with dates already scheduled this week at Primavera Sound Porto.
